Macroni Bean Salad 

Macroni, combined with vegetables, Rajma (kidney beans) and a rich piquant French dressing gives you a delicious, colorful and heavenly salad 😊

The source for this recipe is my mom’s collection of recipes by Jyoti N Parekh. Many recipes on my blog are inspired by Jyoti Parekh, so a big thank you to her for all the wonderful recipes.


  • 1/2 cup elbow Macroni, cooked
  • 1/2 cup of any fancy shaped pasta that you like, I used shell pasta
  • 1/2 cup corn, boiled
  • 1/2 cup rajma, cooked
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 medium sized tomato, diced
  • 1 capsicum, diced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Piquant French Dressing
    • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp mustard powder ( Just powder your mustard seeds to make the mustard powder )
    • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 1 tbsp white vinegar
    • 1 clove garlic, crushed


  • Put all ingredients for the salad together in a large mixing bowl, mix well and keep aside
  • To prepare the dressing, mix all the dry ingredients in the olive oil and then add the rest of the ingredients
  • Mix the dressing with the salad
  • Serve immediately
